At the finish!

We successfully made it to the finish, making the 190mi trek from Napa Valley to Santa Cruz in 19hr 43min, over 20min ahead of our projections. It was a close race between us and Stanford Run Club early on, with our second van pulling within 3min of Stanford on their first set of legs but Stanford then began to slowly extend the lead throughout the night and ultimately took the win for the second year in a row. We held off a strong effort by Team Burn to finish second overall and the first Corporate Team!

A huge thanks to all the volunteers, race organizers, law enforcement agencies, spectators, and sponsors for another great Relay! The course was beautiful (pictures below and on our Instagram), the weather amazing, the volunteers incredibly helpful (huge thanks to the Napa Fire Chief for guiding us through the first 6 sets of legs and recovering Ben's misplaced shoes!), and the spectators super supportive (another huge thanks to the winery in Napa that let us use their wifi and gave us some in-race wine tastings!). We look forward to returning in 2019!
